About Dr. Bigelow

Dr. Bigelow is board certified in five areas of medicine: Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine

 

Dr. Bigelow received her medical degree from the University of Miami, School of Medicine in 1990. She completed residency in internal medicine at New England Deaconess Hospital, Harvard University in 1993 and her training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 1996 at University of California, San Francisco. She went into academic practice as the chief of Pulmonary Medicine at Alameda County Medical Center from 1996-1999 and then into private practice in San Francisco, affiliating with Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center. In 2006 she trained with and then joined the consultative staff at the California Center of Sleep disorders. In 2007 she joined Baromedical Associates and from 2006 until summer 2017 served as consultative staff and medical director at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital Hyperbaric Department.

Dr. Bigelow is board certified in five areas of medicine: Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. She performs inpatient consultation at St. Francis and St. Mary's for patients with lung problems. She sees patients in her private office with issues in pulmonary, sleep, hyperbaric and dive medicine.

For issues concerning lung cancer she is affiliated with the Comprehensive Cancer Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
